On April 11, 2023, Sergeant Lorne Jackson with the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Community Services Unit, received recognition from the 100 Club of Arizona for the Law Enforcement Officer of the Year. Sergeant Jackson was presented with an Honorable Mention Award by Programs Manager Rainee Crabtree, with several members of the department, and City Officials in attendance.
Sergeant Jackson was nominated for the award for his active role in providing services to groups and organizations throughout the community. He has organized and held many fundraising events that have provided financial support for organizations in need, including youth and non-profit organizations.
Sergeant Jackson was also responsible for revitalizing the department’s Critical Incident Team, as well as developing a Peer Support Team for all police department members who may be subject to workplace trauma or personal trauma and stressors. Since doing so, participation by employees in these programs has significantly increased.
The 100 Club of Arizona has been Supporting Public Safety Personnel in Arizona since 1968 by providing financial assistance to families of first responders who are seriously injured or killed in the line of duty, as well as providing resources to enhance their safety and welfare.
