Over the past several months, detectives with the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, which is part of the Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team (MAGNET), have been investigating a subject selling Fentanyl pills throughout the Lake Havasu City Area. 

On May 19, 2022, at approximately 5:00 a.m., Special Investigation Unit detectives with assistance from the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s SWAT team, served a search warrant in the 3300 block of Sorrel Ln. in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

As a result of the investigation, 39-year-old Thomas Nichols and 57-year-old John Aguirre were arrested.

Thomas Nichols was charged with two counts of sales of narcotic drugs, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of narcotic drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a felony Parole warrant out of the Arizona Department of Corrections. He is being held on a $25,000.00 cash-only bond.

John Aguirre was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held on $4,000.00 bond.
