Over the past several weeks, detectives with the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, which is part of the Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team (MAGNET), have been investigating a person selling fentanyl pills
throughout the Lake Havasu City Area.
On September 20, 2022, at approximately 7:17 p.m., detectives from the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, arrested Lake Havasu City residents Jeremiah Nichols (34) and Michael Old (54) during a traffic stop in the
area of Neptune Dr. and N. Palo Verde Blvd. in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. During the traffic stop, a search was conducted, and detectives located approximately 400 fentanyl pills, drug paraphernalia, and two large fixed-blade knives.
As a result of the investigation, the following subjects were arrested:
Jeremiah Nichols (34) was charged with possession of narcotic drugs for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of weapons misconduct, a statewide warrant out of Yuma County, and a misdemeanor warrant out of Mohave County.
Michael Old (54) was charged with possession of narcotic drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, weapons misconduct, two felony warrants, one misdemeanor warrant out of Mohave County, and one local warrant.
During their initial appearances, Nichols was held on bonds totaling $34,000, and Old was held on bonds totaling $14,000. Both were transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
