Mayor Mark Nexsen, Councilmember Cal Sheehy, and Lisa Krueger with LH Area Chamber of Commerce along with support team City Manager Charlie Cassens, Matt Kross with Republic Services, and James Gray with PED are in Raleigh Durham, North Carolina to make their pitch to the judges for the America’s Best Communities competition.  All three believe they have a very strong presentation and a very good chance to advance in this round from the final 15 to the final 8! The eight winners will come home with $100,000 each and the opportunity to compete for the $1 million prize for third place, $2 million for second place and $3 million for first place.  We wish them luck and have our fingers crossed!
