In an effort to maintain our roads, parking lots, and walking paths, Lake Havasu City is continuing its pavement preservation program with the application of crack and mastic seals to various surfaces, starting with the multi-use walking path along Highway 95 on Monday, January 27. This section spans from McCulloch Boulevard South to Palo Verde Boulevard North and is expected to take approximately one week to complete, weather permitting.
During this time, pedestrians and bicyclists may encounter temporary closures as crews apply hot materials to improve the path’s condition. Please exercise caution near active work zones. We appreciate the public’s continued support as we protect and enhance our infrastructure.
Mastic seal is a durable, flexible material used to fill larger cracks and gaps in road surfaces, providing a long-lasting seal. Crack seal involves applying a rubberized compound to smaller cracks to prevent water infiltration and further damage, which helps extend the life of the pavement. Both methods are vital for maintaining road integrity and avoiding costly repairs.
