Arrests Made for Trafficking Stolen Property and Burglary
October 09, 2017

The Lake Havasu City Police Department Street Crimes Unit and Criminal Investigations Unit have been following up on leads related to the recent burglaries that have occurred around town. Jewelry stolen from a residential burglary in the 3700 block of Vega Drive back in late September was discovered to have recently been sold to a local business by a female, later identified as 52-year old Lake Havasu City resident Catrina Dasilva.

As a result of the investigation, Dasilva was contacted on October 4, 2017, at her residence in the 1900 block of Park Terrace Bay and arrested for trafficking stolen property.  While officers were at the residence, Catrina’s 33-year old son Matthew A. Peltzer attempted to flee on foot out the rear door. After a short foot pursuit, Peltzer was taken into custody and arrested for an outstanding felony warrant. A search warrant was executed at the residence at approximately 10:20 p.m. on October 4, 2017, resulting in the recovery of multiple items of suspected stolen property. The investigation is ongoing and detectives are attempting to identify the victims of some of the recovered stolen property.

In addition to the felony warrant, Matthew A. Peltzer was charged with burglary, trafficking stolen property, possession of a weapon by a prohibited possessor, resisting arrest, theft, possession of narcotic drugs, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. During his initial appearance, Peltzer was held without bond and transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.

Heidi L. Dasilva, the 21-year old daughter of Catrina Dasilva arrived at the residence during the search warrant and was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. During her initial appearance Heidi Dasilva was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in court on a future date.

During her initial appearance Catrina Dasilva was held on a $400 cash only bond.
