Cancer Survivors’ Day

Mayor Nexsen presented a proclamation in recognition of Cancer Survivors’ Day –June 4, 2016. A “cancer survivor” is defined as anyone living with a history of cancer – from the moment of diagnosis through the remainder of life, and there are approximately 14.5 million cancer survivors in America. Mayor Nexsen states in the proclamation that he salutes all cancer survivors and those that support them; including Cancer Association of Havasu which provides programs including low-cost early-detection screenings, public education, and support groups for cancer survivors in our community.
