The 2020 Child Passenger Safety Week will be conducted from September 20, 2020 through September 26, 2020. The focus of this safety campaign is to raise awareness and urge all parents and caregivers to ensure their child passenger is riding in the appropriate car seat based on the child’s age and size. Proper installation is also key to making sure the seats are effective in protecting children.
Lake Havasu City Police Officers will be participating in this national effort by conducting enhanced enforcement of child passenger safety laws to help ensure the safety of young children traveling roadways in our community.
The national “Child Passenger Safety Week” campaign is conducted by the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety in conjunction with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in coordination with law enforcement agencies and other organizations.
