Councilmember Elections - City Council Holds Special Meeting

On September 13, 2016, the City Council held a Special Meeting to declare and adopt the Official Canvass of the Results of the Primary Election held on August 30, 2016. Based on the certification of the Official Canvass of the August 30, 2016, Lake Havasu City Primary Election results, it was found, determined, and declared of record that Donna Brister-McCoy and David Lane were elected to the Office of Councilmember in and for Lake Havasu City and were issued a Certification of Election.

Further, based on the certification of the Official Canvass of the August 30, 2016, Lake Havasu City Primary Election results, it was found, determined, and declared of record, that a General Election will be held on November 8, 2016, to elect one (1) Councilmember. The following two (2) candidates received the highest number of votes for their names to be placed on the official ballot for the Office of Councilmember at the General Election and were issued a Certificate of Nomination – Sylvia Clark and Gordon Groat.

All successful candidates in the Primary and General elections will take office on November 22, 2016.
