Drug Sales Investigation Leads to Multiple Arrests

Over the past year, the Lake Havasu City Police Department Special Investigations Unit has been conducting an investigation into a subject selling large amounts of methamphetamine and heroin throughout Lake Havasu City.   

On August 23, 2017, at approximately 5:45 p.m., the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s SWAT team, Special Investigations Unit and Street Crimes Unit served a search warrant in the 3600 block of Tarpon Drive.  Seized during the search warrant was approximately 100 grams of methamphetamine, 35 grams of heroin and a large amount of prescription pills along with several stolen credit cards and multiple items of drug paraphernalia. Two handguns were also located at the residence with one being reported stolen out of Pinal County.  

Arrested as a result of the search warrant were 31-year-old Lake Havasu City resident Stephanie Ammon, 19-year-old Lake Havasu City resident Jeremy James, 45-year-old California resident  Robert Wilt,  28-year-old Phoenix resident Keri Murphy, 30-year-old Phoenix resident Emily Terrazas,  42-year-old Phoenix resident Benjamin Herrera, 30-year-old Lake Havasu City resident Justin Caples and 35-year-old Goodyear resident Alfredo Saldana.

Stephanie Ammon was charged with sale of dangerous drugs, conspiracy to sell dangerous drugs, possession of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of narcotic drugs for sale, misconduct involving weapons, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia.  During her initial appearance Ammon was held on a $200,000 bond and transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.

Jeremy James was charged with sale of dangerous drugs, possession of narcotic drugs for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia.  During his initial appearance James was held on a $50,000 bond and transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.   

Robert Wilt was charged with possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.  During his initial appearance Wilt was held on $10,000 bond and transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.

Keri Murphy was charged with possession of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of narcotic drugs for sale, possession of narcotic drugs, possession of stolen credit cards, identity theft, providing false information to law enforcement, misconduct involving weapons and possession of drug paraphernalia. During her initial appearance was held on a $225,000 bond and transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.

Emily Terrazas was charged with possession of narcotic drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.  During her initial appearance Terrazas was held on a $1000 bond and transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.

Benjamin Herrera was charged with possession of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of narcotic drugs for sale, misconduct involving weapons and possession of drug paraphernalia.  During his initial appearance Herrera was held on a $100,000 bond and transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office

Justin Caples was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. During his initial appearance Caples was released on his own recognizance and given a future appearance date.

Alfredo Saldana was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. During his initial appearance Saldana was released on his own recognizance and given a future appearance date.
