Elegant Wildlife Escort Business Arrest

Over the past two months, the Lake Havasu City Police Department has been receiving information about an escort service advertising locally and attempting to recruit teenage girls at several locations throughout Lake Havasu City.  The Lake Havasu City Police Department Special Investigations Unit along with The Greater Phoenix Area Human Trafficking Task Force and the Federal Bureau of Investigation began an investigation into the business.

As a result of the investigation, 41-year old Lake Havasu City resident Christian H. Midas was arrested on April 17, 2017, at approximately 5:00 P.M., and charged with receiving earnings of prostitution, money laundering, using electronic communication in furtherance of a felony and three counts of pandering, all felonies. 

On April 17, 2017, at approximately 5:00 P.M., a search warrant was served at Midas’ residence in the 200 block of S. Lake Havasu Avenue where other items of evidence were collected.  Midas was additionally charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after approximately 12 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located.  

Christian H. Midas had his initial appearance on April 18, 2017, and is being held on a $100,000 bond.  Midas was transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
