On Saturday, January 9, 2021, at approximately 10:40 a.m., the Lake Havasu City Police Department responded to a two-vehicle crash on SR 95 south of McCulloch Boulevard South. During the investigation, it was determined that a 1930 Ford Coupe was traveling southbound on SR 95 when, for an unknown reason, went left of center and collided with a 1995 Toyota Tacoma that was traveling northbound on SR 95. After collision, the male driver of the Ford Coupe was ejected from the vehicle.
As a result of the collision, the male driver of the Ford Coupe, identified as 59-year old Robert Dixon, and his passenger, identified as 64-year old Terri Dixon, were pronounced deceased at the scene. The two occupants of the Toyota Tacoma were transported to the Havasu Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Crash Investigation Team responded to the accident scene to conduct the investigation. SR 95 was closed for several hours from McCulloch Boulevard South to Dub Campbell Parkway during the investigation and the Arizona Department of Transportation responded to assist with the closure.
The accident is still under investigation and contributing factors have not been identified at this time. The decedent’s family has been notified.
