On August 14, 2024, at approximately 11:42 a.m., Lake Havasu City Police Officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Havasupai Boulevard in reference to a single vehicle traffic collision. Upon officers’ arrival, the driver of the vehicle was found unconscious and not breathing. Officers removed the subject from the vehicle and began lifesaving measures.

Lake Havasu City Fire Department arrived on scene and took over medical care for the subject, ultimately transporting them to the hospital.   Shortly after arriving at the hospital, the subject was pronounced deceased.

The driver was identified as Colton Colebrook, a 26-year-old Mohave Valley, Arizona, resident. The Lake Havasu City Police Department Crash Team has assumed the investigation, and it is still ongoing.  At this point, the investigation has revealed that Colton suffered from an unknown medical condition just prior to the low-speed collision.

Alcohol/drug impairment or speed are not believed to be a factor.
