On October 30, 2024, at approximately 1:00 p.m., officers from the Lake Havasu City Police Department responded to a single-vehicle accident at the intersection of McCulloch Boulevard North and Daytona Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the driver, the sole occupant of a 2015 Nissan Versa, was traveling eastbound on McCulloch Boulevard North when the vehicle veered off the roadway, struck a mailbox, and subsequently collided with a wall. The male driver was found unconscious at the scene.

Officers and Lake Havasu City Fire personnel immediately began lifesaving measures. Ultimately, the driver was transported to the Havasu Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased.

The driver has been identified as 67-year-old Jeffery Woods, a resident of Lake Havasu City.

Initial findings of the investigation indicate that Jeffrey suffered from an unknown medical incident prior to the collision. Drug or alcohol impairment is unknown at this time, and further details are released as they become available.
