On December 31, 2024, at approximately 11:18 a.m., officers from the Lake Havasu City Police Department responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 2200 block of Fremont Drive. Upon arrival, they found the driver unresponsive. Despite immediate lifesaving efforts, the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle was traveling south on Fremont Drive when, for reasons yet to be determined, it veered off the road and collided with a block wall and a mailbox.

The driver has been identified as Jeffery Azar, a 70-year-old resident of Lake Havasu City. No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the accident and potential contributing factors remain under investigation. Further details will be released as they become available.
