On January 2, 2025, at approximately 2:29 p.m., officers from the Lake Havasu City Police Department responded to a head-on collision on State Route 95 near Dub Campbell Parkway (Mile Marker 176). Upon arrival, it was determined that a black Dodge truck and a semi-truck with a trailer had collided head-on. The driver and passenger of the Dodge were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Preliminary investigations determined that the Dodge was traveling south on SR 95 when, for reasons still under investigation, it veered off the roadway and then re-entered the northbound lane, resulting in the collision with the semi-truck. A third vehicle was also forced to swerve off the road to avoid hitting the semi.

The semi-truck driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital for evaluation.  No other injuries were reported during this incident.

The identities of the deceased are being withheld until their next of kin are notified. The cause of the crash, along with any contributing factors, remains under investigation. Additional details will be provided as they become available.
