On Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at approximately 7:50 p.m., the Lake Havasu City Police Department responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of State Route 95 and London Bridge Road North.

During the investigation, it was determined that a 2000 Suzuki VZ800 motorcycle was traveling on London Bridge Road North approaching the traffic signal at SR 95, and failed to stop for the red signal light. The operator of the motorcycle proceeded through the intersection and turned north onto SR 95 and continued into the right lane, directly into the path of a 2010 Volvo Freight truck also traveling north in the right lane of SR 95.

As a result of the crash, the male operator of the Suzuki motorcycle, identified as 66-year-old Lake Havasu City resident Dane Conley, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Volvo Freight truck was uninjured and no medical treatment was needed.

The Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Crash Investigation Team responded to the crash scene to conduct the investigation. The intersection was closed for several hours as a result. The crash is still under investigation, but impairment does not appear to be a factor. The decedent’s family has been notified.
