On Saturday, December 15, at approximately 3:15 p.m., the Lake Havasu City Police Department responded to the scene of a single vehicle rollover crash on the dirt road approximately one-quarter mile north of the paved road on Paso De Oro Drive.  The Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Accident Investigation Unit responded to investigate the crash.

A 2019 Wildcat 1000 off-highway vehicle was traveling north on the dirt road when the driver of the vehicle lost control and went into an uncontrolled sideways slide causing the vehicle to rollover several times.  The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was identified as 35-year old Lake Havasu City resident Juan Candaleria Jr.  Candaleria Jr. was not wearing a helmet but was wearing a seatbelt.   He suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash.    

The accident remains under investigation.  Speed does appear to be a factor.
