August 09, 2024

On February 16, 2024, officers with the Lake Havasu City Police Department began an investigation regarding a runaway juvenile male who left his residence on February 14, 2024, and had not returned. Over the course of several months, officers began following leads and received several Silent Witness tips where it was believed that this juvenile male was staying at a residence on Beefeater Drive.

On July 11, 2024, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Officers with the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit began monitoring a residence located in the 1400 block of Beefeater Drive. Officers made contact with 44-year-old Lake Havasu City resident Robyn Rogers, who was believed to be hiding the juvenile male. While talking with Ms. Rogers, the 17-year-old juvenile male runaway was observed leaving the rear of the residence and led officers on a short foot pursuit before being taken into custody.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Unit were called to assist in this case and through their investigation, had learned that the juvenile male was in a sexual relationship with Ms. Rogers, and she was assisting him by evading police.

As a result of the investigation, Robyn Rogers was arrested and charged with three counts of Sexual Conduct with a Minor, Hindering Prosecution, False Reporting to Law Enforcement, Possession of Narcotic Drugs, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

During her initial appearances, Rogers was held on a $25,000.00 cash bond on the three counts of Sexual Conduct with a Minor, and a $5,000.00 secured bond on the remaining charges. Rogers was transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
