House Fire

At approximately 4:37 a.m., Monday, June 13, 2016, a fire was reported by a neighbor in the 2500 block of Hacienda Drive.  The neighbors saw smoke coming from the roof of the residence. The first arriving fire company reported heavy smoke and fire from the front and the roof of the structure. Four Engine Companies, one Truck Company, and a Battalion Chief responded to the fire and gained control of the fire within 25 minutes.  There was no one home at the time of the fire; however, two family cats perished in the blaze.

There were no reported injuries to the firefighters. Lake Havasu CERT responded to the fire to assist with Rehab duties for the firefighters. Off-duty firefighters were recalled to backfill the stations in the city. Crews remained on the scene an additional two hours conducting salvage operations.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
