On Friday, January 14, 2022, at approximately 10:48 a.m., the Lake Havasu City Police Department responded to a three-vehicle crash on S.R. 95 at Acoma Blvd. South. It was determined that a motorcoach with two occupants traveling northbound on S.R. 95, approaching the stoplight at Acoma Blvd. South failed to stop and rear-ended a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, which struck a third vehicle, a 2019 Lincoln Navigator. The three occupants of the Jeep Grand Cherokee were extricated from the vehicle by the Lake Havasu Fire Department. All three occupants were transported to Havasu Regional Medical Center, where one patient identified as 83-year-old Oregon resident, Charles Feck, was later flown to University Medical Center in Las Vegas.
On January 16, 2022, Charles Feck succumbed to his injuries. The two other victims who were initially transported to the Havasu Regional Medical Center were treated and released.
The Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Crash Investigation Team is still investigating the circumstances of the crash. There were no indicators that drugs or alcohol were a factor. The next of kin has been notified.
