The Lake Havasu City Police Department has released its July 4th holiday weekend statistics from Friday, June 30 to Tuesday, July 4, 2023.
In total, the Lake Havasu City Police Department received 1,136 calls for service and made a total of 76 arrests 51 of which were booked into the LHCPD jail, 21 were cited and released, and four were juveniles who were referred and released. 18 of these arrests were felony in nature. A total of 156 reports were completed.
During holiday weekends in Lake Havasu City, traffic safety is of utmost importance and concern. The LHCPD provided enhanced traffic and DUI enforcement from a grant awarded by the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety. During this year’s July 4th holiday weekend, a total of 14 DUI offenders were arrested, five of which were aggravated (felony) in nature. A total of 354 drivers were contacted during civil traffic stops.
