During the City Council’s Mid-Year Budget and Planning Session, America’s Best Communities Team presented Lake Havasu City’s revitalization plan, Vision 20/20, as submitted to the Frontier Communication’s America’s Best Communities prize competition. Frontier Communication’s Executives, who were present in the audience, surprised City Council with news that Lake Havasu City was chosen as one of top 15 communities nationwide to advance to the semifinals of the competition. The 15 advancing cities will attend the America’s Best Communities summit April 26 and 27 in Durham, N.C., to present their revitalization plans. From there, eight communities will receive $100,000 prize grants and go on to the competition finals to compete for up to $3 million.
