Lake Havasu City Awarded Grant from National Recreation and Parks Association Offers New Fit and Strong Program

The Lake Havasu City Community Services Department was recently awarded a grant from the National Recreation and Parks Association to be used for a new, evidence-based physical activity program that focuses on physical activity and health education for adults with osteoarthritis, called Fit & Strong.

The Fit & Strong program is a physical activity and behavior change program that teaches sedentary adults with joint pain and stiffness, how to engage in safe and effective exercise and provides motivational tools for physical activity maintenance. 

Don’t miss out on this opportunity! Class is limited to 25 participants and is being offered February 6 – March 30.  Session 1 will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. and Session 2 will be held from 10:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.  Cost is $20.00 per participant.
