The Lake Havasu City Police Department Explorer Honor Guard was invited to present colors at the National Conference on Juvenile Justice hosted by the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (NCJFCJ) on March 21, 2016 in Las Vegas, NV. There were several honorable attendees present during the ceremony.

The NCJFCJ was so impressed with the performance of our explorer post honor guard that they formally invited our explorers to present colors at a workshop to be held at the MGM in Las Vegas, Nevada in October, 2016. 

The NCJFCJ commented that the Lake Havasu City Police Explorer Post performed very well and did an exceptional job presenting the colors. Additionally, the NCJFCJ presented a certificate of appreciation to the post.  

The police explorer honor guard members are Riley Egelin, Austin Cowper, Matthew Guntle, Joshua Clement, Allen Salee, and Sam Anutta. The Explorer advisors present during the colors were Officer Michael Thornhill and Officer Robert Horstmeyer.
