On August 1, 2024, at approximately 9:07 p.m., officers with the Lake Havasu City Police Department were dispatched to the 3400 Blk of Oro Grande Blvd. in reference to a domestic violence call. During the course of that investigation, an officer-involved shooting occurred. 

Detectives with the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office have been called in to conduct the investigation into the shooting. It is standard protocol to have an outside agency investigate an officer-involved shooting incident.

No officers or subjects were injured during this incident. The investigation is ongoing, and the names of the officers and subject involved in the incident are not being released at this time.
