LAKE HAVASU CITY RECEIVES NATIONAL DIGITAL CITIES SURVEY AWARD

Lake Havasu City achieved the rank of #7 in the nation for the Up to 75,000 Population category from the Center for Digital Government’s 2024 Digital Cities Survey.  Lake Havasu City has demonstrated outstanding leadership and innovation in digital transformation efforts, including initiatives that streamline services for residents, strengthen network security, and enhance government transparency.

"Being named one of the top 7 Digital Cities in the country for this category is an impressive accomplishment." said City Manager Jess Knudson.  “I am very proud of Jonathan Baskette, Chief Information Officer, and his team for all their efforts.  Thanks to his leadership and the efforts of our IT team, our networks are secure, and we are prioritizing the technology needed to make the City’s operations more efficient, resulting in better service delivery to our community.”

This prestigious recognition highlights Lake Havasu City’s Information Technology Department’s commitment to enhancing the digital experience for both residents and government, placing it among a distinguished group of cities across the nation working to leverage technology for improved community services, and increasing the security infrastructure needed to protect the organization and its residents from cyber security attacks. 

The annual Digital Cities Survey, conducted by the Center for Digital Government, assesses cities, towns, and local governments across the country for their effective use of technology in enhancing services, strengthening cybersecurity, safeguarding digital privacy, and promoting digital equity.
