On Saturday, September 17, The Lake Havasu Vet Center and Lake Havasu City joined efforts as United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration partners to honor our veterans who served active duty in the United States Armed Forces during the period November 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975, regardless of location, with a lapel pin that serves as the nation’s lasting memento of thanks. Speakers included State Representative Sonny Borrelli, Judge Mitch Kalauli, Todd Evensen-Director of The Vet Center, Bryan Martyn-Veteran Co Chair from US Senator John McCain’s office, and Mayor Mark Nexsen proclaiming the day Vietnam Veteran Appreciation Day (proclamation presented to Sergeant Dan Shelton).
