LHCPD TO CONDUCT EXTRA PATROL AT SITE 6
July 03, 2019

In response to community safety concerns at the Site 6 area, the Lake Havasu City Police Department is conducting extra patrols in the area during the Independence Day holiday.

During the last holiday, an incident was reported to the police department involving a large crowd harassing subjects attempting to load a boat onto a trailer at the Site 6 launch ramp.  During this incident, a firearm was brandished.   Fortunately, no one was injured.

This is not an isolated incident.  There have been increasing complaints of disorderly subjects, fighting and liquor violations in that area.  It is known to be an area where a large number of people gather on shore in the late afternoon to watch as others attempt to remove their boats from the water, often heckling those who may have difficulty loading a boat onto a trailer.   This has led to some individuals attempting to instigate fights, which is what the Lake Havasu City Police Department is attempting to prevent.

Officers will be monitoring activity and issuing citations at Site 6 for anyone found to be violating City Ordinances or State Law.   This is to ensure everyone remains safe and can enjoy their holiday.
