On April 14, 2022, at approximately 10:50 p.m., Detectives with the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit conducted a welfare check on a male subject in the 1200 block of Anacapa Drive. The male subject was slouched behind the steering wheel of a vehicle and upon contact, appeared to be passed out with illegal narcotic drugs and drug paraphernalia in his possession.
As a result of the contact, 30-year-old Lake Havasu City resident Cameron Mackey was arrested for drug violations. A search incident to arrest revealed that Mackey was in possession of approximately 596 Fentanyl pills.
With the assistance of the department’s Special Investigations Unit, which is part of the Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team (MAGNET), Detectives served a search warrant at a residence in the 1200 block of Anacapa Drive where a usable amount of methamphetamine and numerous items of drug paraphernalia were located.
Cameron Mackey was arrested for Possession of Narcotic Drugs for Sale, Possession of Narcotic Drugs, Possession of Dangerous Drugs, and two (2) counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Mackey is being held on a $50,000.00 cash-only bond and was transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
Prior to Mackey’s arrest on April 14, he was out on bond from a previous arrest in December of 2021 where he was charged with Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sale, Possession of Narcotic Drugs for Sale, and Possession of a Weapon in a Drug Offense.
