Officers contacted a male victim in the backyard of his residence who had been shot multiple times. The gunshot victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The gunshot victim allegedly threw a rock at his neighbor, striking the neighbor in the head. The neighbor, identified as 30-year-old Lake Havasu City resident Andrew B. Bullard, went into his residence and retrieved a handgun after being struck by the rock. Bullard exited his residence and fired multiple times at the victim, striking the victim more than once. Bullard was transported to the hospital for his head injury and released later the same day.
A search warrant was executed at both residences on July 8, 2017, at approximately 3:30 P.M. During the service of the search warrant additional items of evidence were collected.
As a result of the investigation Andrew B. Bullard was arrested and charged with attempted first degree murder and three counts of weapons misconduct, all felonies. The weapons misconduct charges are a result of locating three altered firearms at Bullard’s residence during the service of the search warrant. Bullard had his initial appearance on July 9, 2017, and was held on a $100,000 bond. Bullard was transported to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
