MAN ARRESTED FOR MULTIPLE BURGLARIES
May 30, 2024

Over the past week, Lake Havasu City Police Officers, Street Crimes Unit Officers, and Criminal Investigations Unit Detectives have been investigating a rash of burglaries and bicycle thefts across Lake Havasu City.  There have been over a dozen reports of burglaries and thefts. In many instances, the victims provided video surveillance footage that led to the identity of the suspect as 41-year-old Kingman resident, Jack Weaver.

On May 29th, 2024, at approximately 3:40 p.m., Lake Havasu City Police Department Officers received a call for a suspicious subject in the 100 block of Sunflower Drive.  As officers arrived in the area, they identified Jack Weaver riding a bicycle. Jack fled when the officers attempted to contact him, leading to a foot pursuit for a quarter of a mile until Jack was apprehended in the 100 block of Swanson Avenue.

Jack was transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries prior to being booked into the Lake Havasu City Police Department Jail for 18 felony charges and six misdemeanor charges including burglary (2nd and 3rd degree), unlawful use of means of transportation, disorderly conduct with a weapon, trafficking in stolen property, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of burglary tools, trespass, resisting arrest, assault, and criminal damage.

Jack is currently being held in custody at the Mohave County Detention Center in lieu of a $264,000 secure bond.

The Lake Havasu City Police Department thanks the community for the outpouring of tips and possible sightings that assisted officers in making the arrest on this subject. The investigation is still ongoing, and it is possible there are unreported thefts related to this string of burglaries.  If you have any additional information, please contact the Lake Havasu City Police Department at 928-855-1171 or utilize the information below to remain anonymous.
