Paint Booth Fire

At approximately 9:20 a.m., Thursday, September 22, 2016, a paint booth fire was reported by the business in the 1700 block of Industrial Boulevard.  The business discovered smoke coming from the paint booth and called 911.  The first arriving fire company also reported smoke coming from the paint booth.  Three Engine Companies, one Truck Company, and two Battalion Chiefs responded to the fire.  The Fire Department gained control of the fire within 11 minutes.  Prior to the arrival of the Fire Department, all occupants evacuated the paint booth safely.  The paint booth sprinkler system activated, keeping the fire from spreading further until the Fire Department arrived.  There were no reported injuries to the firefighters.  Crews remained on the scene for an additional hour conducting salvage operations.  Damages were confined to the spray booth and vehicle. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
