At approximately 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2025, a house fire was reported by a neighbor in the 500 block of Aloha Drive. The first arriving fire company reported smoke and flames coming from the residence's RV garage. Five engine companies, one truck company, one medic unit, and the Battalion Chief responded to the incident and gained control of the fire within 45 minutes. Two civilians sustained minor injuries. Due to high winds, crews remained on the scene for five additional hours conducting salvage operations. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Desert Hills Fire Department assisted Lake Havasu City with other 911 calls. LHCFD CERT crews also responded to provide support and rehab duties for working firefighters.
