On Monday, June 3, 2024, at approximately 9:45 p.m., the Lake Havasu City Fire Department (LHCFD) responded to a reported house fire in the 2500 block of South Cisco.
Upon arrival, crews found the back patio and deck of an unoccupied house, currently under renovation, fully engulfed in flames. A swift response by three engine companies, one truck company, a medic unit, and a battalion chief brought the fire under control in under 15 minutes, preventing further damage to the structure and neighboring properties.
One firefighter sustained minor injuries during the incident. The Lake Havasu City Fire Department’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) responded with 9 members to assist with rehabilitation efforts for the firefighters on scene.
Desert Hills Fire provided additional coverage for the city during the incident. Fire crews remained on scene for an additional two hours conducting salvage and overhaul operations.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
