The Lake Havasu City Police Department received neighborhood complaints over the past few weeks related to possible drug activity at a residence in the 3100 block of Pintail Drive. As a result of this information, detectives from the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, which is part of the Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team (MAGNET), started an investigation.
On August 2, at approximately 9:00 p.m., the Lake Havasu City Police Department SWAT team served a search warrant at the residence in the 3100 block of Pintail Drive. During the service of the search warrant, detectives located a small amount of heroin, prescription only medication, several grams of marijuana and a large amount of drug paraphernalia.
As a result of the investigation, 25-year old Taylor R. Welsh and 30-year old Joseph M. Larose, both Lake Havasu City residents were arrested and charged with possession of narcotic drugs, possession of marijuana, possession of prescription only medication and possession of drug paraphernalia. Welsh and Larose were each additionally charged with outstanding failure to comply warrants.
During her initial appearance, Taylor R. Welsh was held on a $25,000 bond for the drug charges and a $1000 cash only bond for the warrant.

Both subjects were transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
