October 31, 2017

Over the past several months, the Lake Havasu City Police Department Special Investigations Unit and Street Crimes Unit identified several residences where drug activity has been observed.   As a result of the investigation and with the assistance of detectives from the Bullhead City Mohave Area General Narcotics Team (MAGNET) and La Paz County Narcotics Task Force, three search warrants were served this week resulting in drug charges on three subjects.

On Tuesday October 24, 2017, at approximately 8:15 p.m., detectives conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle leaving a residence in the 400 block of Hummingbird Drive.  The driver of the vehicle initially failed to yield to officers for a short distance but eventually stopped.  The driver, identified as 38-year-old Lake Havasu City resident Michael K. Wolfenbarger, was arrested for unlawful flight and possession of drug paraphernalia.  During a secondary search of Wolfenbarger at the jail, he was found to be in possession of eight grams of heroin hidden on his person.   Wolfenbarger was additionally charged with possession of narcotic drugs for sale and taking contraband into a correctional facility.   During his initial appearance Wolfenbarger was held on a $50,000 bond and transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.

A search warrant was served at approximately 11:30 p.m. at the Hummingbird Drive residence Wolfenbarger was observed leaving from.  During the search, detectives located an additional small amount of heroin along with items associated with drug sales.

One of the occupants at the home, 22-year-old Lake Havasu City resident Steven R. Sours was charged with sale of narcotic drugs, possession of narcotic drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia after being located at the residence.   During his initial appearance Steven R. Sours was held on a $50,000 cash only bond and transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.

As a result of the search warrant served at the Hummingbird Drive residence, a third subject was identified as being involved in drug sales.  Nathan K. Harmon was contacted by detectives leaving his residence in the 1900 block of Ash Drive in a vehicle and found in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine.

The same agencies were involved in serving two additional search warrants, one at Harmon’s residence in the 1900 block of Ash Drive on October 25, 2017, at 11:30 p.m., and one at Harmon’s place of business in the 100 block of Scott Drive on October 26, 2017, at 12:50 a.m.  During the search of both locations, approximately five grams of heroin was located along with several vials of anabolic steroids, items associated with drug sales and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.

Nathan K. Harmon was charged with sale of narcotic drugs, possession of narcotic drugs for sale, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
