On 04/27/24 at approximately 12:51 AM, officers with the Lake Havasu City Police Department responded to the 100 Blk of Park Ave. in reference to a shooting that just occurred.  During the course of the investigation, it was determined that an unidentified male subject shot at the victim’s vehicle while fleeing the area.

Upon further investigation led by the Lake Havasu City Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit, the suspect in this case was located at a residence in the 2000 Blk of Rover Dr. Further interviews of the suspect, witnesses and victims were conducted which resulted in new details associated with this investigation.  During the initial investigation, it was reported that the suspect was armed with a firearm at some point throughout the night leading up to this incident which caused the victims to believe when the window of the vehicle was shattered that it was from a bullet fired at them. Through follow up investigation that was determined to be unfounded.

The investigation revealed that an unidentified subject threw a rock at the window of the victim’s vehicle causing a large popping sound as the window shattered, which was believed to be a gunshot at the time of the incident.  The investigation is ongoing and further details will be released as they are available.

There were no injuries as a result of this incident.  This incident is currently being investigated by the Lake Havasu City Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit.
