The Lake Havasu City Police Department and the Havasu Silent Witness Board are proud to announce the launch of a redesigned Havasu Silent Witness website. Havasu Silent Witness has partnered with the Lake Havasu City Police Department for several years and is dedicated to providing a way for residents to contribute to crime fighting while remaining anonymous. On the website residents can find general information about Havasu Silent Witness, information on how a reward is paid, use an interface to submit a tip directly from the website, how to call-in and text an anonymous tip, as well as photographs and information related to active investigations the police department needs assistance in solving.
Havasu Silent Witness received 159 tips from the community in 2015, directly contributing to the arrest of 32 suspects wanted for crimes by the Lake Havasu City Police Department. Also in 2015, Havasu Silent Witness received $2,300 in donations both from the community and the local Courts through fine payments. Rewards are paid when information leads to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect of a crime, or is of significant benefit to law enforcement. Interestingly, many people who call Havasu Silent Witness do not want a monetary reward. They simply want to provide information to assist law enforcement.
Community members can text a tip to Havasu Silent Witness by sending your message to “CRIMES,” or 274637. Personnel are available 24-hours a day to receive and respond to information sent via the text feature. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through a web page service at www.tipsoft.com or by downloading the “TipSubmit Mobile” application from Google Play or from the Apple App store to any smart phone.
The redesigned Havasu Silent Witness website can be accessed by going to www.havasusilentwitness.com
