On Saturday, January 5, at approximately 1:15 a.m., the Lake Havasu City Police Department responded to a single vehicle rollover crash on London Bridge Road near Vista del Lago Loop. 

A 2001 silver Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling southbound on London Bridge Road when the driver failed to negotiate a right-hand curve.  The vehicle drifted left and struck a curb which caused the vehicle to roll over and leave the paved portion of the roadway. 

The Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Crash Investigation Team responded to the scene to conduct the investigation.  During the investigation, it was determined there were three occupants in the pickup truck, all Lake Havasu City residents.  A male 17-year-old driver was ejected from the vehicle and transported to a Las Vegas hospital with life threatening injuries.   A front seat 23-year-old male passenger suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.  A 23-year-old male passenger who had been riding in the bed of the pickup truck suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries and currently remains in a local hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.  The driver and the passenger were not wearing a seatbelt.  Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors.
