Skeletal Remains Found on the Shoreline of Lake Havasu Near the State Park

On Sunday, July 30, 2017, at approximately 9:15 a.m., officers of the Lake Havasu City Police Department responded to Windsor State Park for a report of skeletal remains found in heavy brush near the shoreline a few hundred yards south of the main launch ramp. The decedent is believed to be that of a local missing woman, 66-year-old Lois Juarez, based on personal belongings found near the remains.

Lois Juarez was last heard from on April 30, 2017, and was listed as a missing person. Juarez’ unoccupied vehicle was located in the 600 block of London Bridge Road on May 3, 2017. 

Detectives from the Lake Havasu City Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit were called out to investigate.  There is no foul play suspected at this time.  The remains were turned over to the Medical Examiner for positive identification and to determine of cause of death, which may take several weeks, up to several months.
