SUBJECT COMMITS SUICIDE AFTER DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE

On June 17, 2019, at approximately 10:55 a.m., Lake Havasu City Police Officers were dispatched to the 3300 block of Tomahawk Drive for a domestic disturbance.

While responding to the location, it was learned that a 38-year-old male subject inside of the residence was in possession of a firearm. Officers established a perimeter around the residence and attempted contact with the male subject. The male subject exited the residence a short time later, pointed a handgun at his head and committed suicide. No officer weapons were discharged during the incident and no officers were injured.

Detectives from the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit responded to the scene to conduct an investigation. The subject's body was released to the Medical Examiner’s Office.
