Lake Havasu City Public Works Department, Engineering Division announces the temporary closure of Acoma Blvd. N. to thru traffic from Lake Havasu Ave. N. to Highway 95 N.  Starting March 7, 2022, through March 8, 2022, for the installation of underground utilities. Traffic will be detoured on both days from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. while the utility installation and asphalt paving take place. All business access will be maintained during the duration of the closure.

The Engineering Department is asking for residents and businesses patience and cooperation during construction. Motorists traveling on a street can expect temporary delays due to construction. This closure is necessary to provide the contractor a safe work zone in which to install utilities. Traffic cones, arrows, and other devices will delineate travel lanes. However, motorists can expect some temporary lane closures and access restrictions and are encouraged to use alternate routes whenever possible.
