The Lake Havasu City Police Department Partners with River Medical Inc.
May 23, 2016

The Lake Havasu City Police Department formed a partnership with Lake Havasu City’s local ambulance provider, River Medical Inc. For approximately one year, River Medical Inc. has provided three paramedics that are attached to the department’s SWAT team. The paramedics are Jeff Skinner, Jeff Eastwood, and Robert Beard. These paramedics participate in SWAT training and are also present on all SWAT team missions. The paramedics are present in order to provide immediate medical care to any injured officer or citizen as a result of any SWAT operation. These paramedics are a valuable asset to the police department’s SWAT team.

River Medical Inc. also provided CPR and First Aid training to all police officers and detention officers in the department. The police department recently held three training sessions in which River Medical Inc. instructors provided CPR and emergency first aid training. This was an interactive class where employees had to demonstrate proficiency in CPR and also demonstrate that they know how to use items from the trauma kits and tourniquets that the police department provides. The CPR instructors that participated in the training were Paramedics Jeff Skinner, Stevie Trevett, Jerry Stein, and Ken Miller. The police department is dedicated to serving the community and River Medical Inc. is playing a large part in training police department personnel to enhance our service.
