Two Arrested for Burglary and Theft

On Thursday, September 28, 2017, at approximately 3:00 p.m., the Lake Havasu City Police Department Street Crimes Unit arrested 36-year-old Jesse L. Underwood and 30-year-old Amy B. Adolphson during a traffic stop.  The two individuals, both Lake Havasu City residents, were suspected of committing thefts and burglaries around Lake Havasu City over the past few months. 

On Thursday, September 28, 2017, at 6:15 p.m., the Lake Havasu City Police Department Street Crimes Unit and Criminal Investigations Unit executed a search warrant at their residence in the 2600 block of McCulloch Boulevard North. Seized during the warrant service were multiple items used to facilitate identity theft and forgery. Stolen mail, checks, credit cards, keys from commercial locations along with bags full of paper evidence related to identity theft were also seized. Methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were also located during the search. It appears Underwood and Adolphson were washing and printing fraudulent checks using the stolen identities and cashing or attempting to cash the forged checks around town. Evidence from a recent commercial burglary that occurred on September 27, 2017, in the 100 block of Lake Havasu Avenue North, as well as evidence form a residential burglary that occurred on August 30, 2017, in the 2800 block of Jamaica Boulevard South was located at their residence.    

Jesse L. Underwood was charged with one count of residential burglary, one count of commercial burglary, theft, forgery, aggravated taking the identify of another, fraudulent schemes, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Amy B. Adolphson was charged with theft, forgery, aggravated taking the identity of another, fraudulent schemes, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.  

During their initial appearance, Jesse L. Underwood and Amy B. Adolphson were held on a $50,000 cash only bond and transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
