On August 7, 2024, at approximately 4:43 a.m. officers from the Lake Havasu City Police Department made a civil traffic stop in the 2600 block of Sweetwater Avenue. While talking with the driver, officers utilized Lake Havasu City Police Department’s K-9 “Echo” to perform an open-air sniff around the vehicle. As a result, K-9 “Echo” alerted on the odor of narcotic drugs inside the vehicle.
Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and discovered approximately ¼ pound of methamphetamine, approximately 500 suspected fentanyl pills, $1,741 in US currency, and a loaded 9MM handgun. The street value of the 500 fentanyl pills is estimated to be $5,000. and the street value of the methamphetamine is estimated at $2,750.
As a result of the investigation, 48-year-old Michael Seedorf, and 38-year-old Shannon Winker, both Lake Havasu City residents, were arrested.
Both subjects were charged with transportation of narcotic drugs, transportation of dangerous drugs, misconduct involving weapons, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Shannon Winker was additionally charged with introduction of contraband into a detention facility after she was found in possession of two fentanyl pills during the booking process.
During their initial appearance, they were each held on a $50,000 cash only bond and transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office
