Detectives from the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, which is part of the Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team (MAGNET) have been conducting an investigation into subjects selling large quantities of methamphetamine throughout Lake Havasu City.
On March 27, 2024, at approximately 7:39 a.m. the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit with the assistance of the Street Crimes Unit and Criminal Investigations Unit served a search warrant on a residence in the 2200 Blk of Interlake Dr. During the search warrant approximately a half pound of Methamphetamine was recovered. It was also learned that illegal drugs and paraphernalia were within reach of a young child residing in the home.
As a result of the investigation, the following subjects were arrested:
Alberto Vazquez (42-year-old) and Tiffany Ayala (40-year-old), both Lake Havasu City residents, were charged with possession of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia, and child abuse.
During their initial appearances, both subjects were held on $50,000 bond and transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
