Over the past two years, Detectives with the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, which is part of the Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team (MAGNET), have been conducting an investigation into the trafficking of cocaine in the Lake Havasu City area.

During the two year investigation, Detectives served several search warrants and as a result, arrested eight individuals for their involvement in the trafficking of narcotics and seized approximately four pounds of cocaine.

As a result of the Investigation, 38-year old Phoenix, Arizona resident Alonso Mendoza, was arrested for Conspiracy to Sell Narcotic Drugs, Possession of Narcotic Drugs for Sale, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Alonso Mendoza was released after he posted a $100,000.00 bond.

35-year old Phoenix, Arizona resident Yohanna Altamirano, was arrested for Conspiracy to Sell Narcotic Drugs, Possession of Narcotic Drugs for Sale, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Yohanna Altamirano was released after she posted a $100,000.00 bond.

30-year old Lake Havasu City resident Christian Nava, was arrested for Conspiracy to Distribute Narcotic Drugs, Transportation of Narcotic Drugs, Possession of Narcotic Drugs for Sale, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Christian Nava was released after he posted a $5,000.00 bond.

35-year old Lake Havasu City resident Fernando Mendoza, was arrested for Conspiracy to Distribute Narcotic Drugs. Fernando Mendoza is being held on a $500,000.00 Cash Only bond and was transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.

36-year old Lake Havasu City resident Julio Cabrera-Leon, was arrested for Conspiracy to Distribute Narcotic Drugs. Cabrera-Leon is being held on a $500,000.00 cash only   bond and was transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.

38-year old Lake Havasu City resident Nicanor Cor

ona, was arrested for Conspiracy to Distribute Narcotic Drugs. Nicanor Corona is being held on a $500,000.00 cash only bond and transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.

34-year old Lake Havasu City resident Mario Delgado, was arrested for Conspiracy to Distribute Narcotic Drugs. Mario Delgado is being held on a $500,000.00 bond and transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.

36-year old Lake Havasu City resident Michael Brewer, was arrested for Conspiracy to Distribute Narcotic Drugs. Michael Brewer is awaiting his initial appearance in court.
