Detectives from the Lake Havasu City Police Department, with the assistance of the Street Crimes Unit and SWAT team members, arrested Andres Aguilar (20) without incident during a traffic stop.
On September 8, 2022, at approximately 7:10 p.m., members of the Lake Havasu City Police Department received information on the location of 20-year-old Lake Havasu City resident Andres Aguilar. Officers were eventually able to locate Aguilar in a vehicle
and conduct a traffic stop on Interstate 40 at Mile Marker 4. Aguilar was arrested without incident. A search of the car revealed narcotic drugs and two firearms. The driver of the vehicle, 25-year-old Lake Havasu City resident AJ Schoenhardt was
also arrested for drug and weapons violations.
Aguilar had an active warrant for his arrest regarding a shooting incident that occurred on May 30, 2022, in the area of London Bridge Beach, 1340 McCulloch Boulevard North in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. The initial incident began with a report of gunshots
fired in the area. The investigation revealed that multiple handgun rounds had been discharged in the upper parking lot, and two vehicles and one building were struck by the shots. Aguilar was identified as the shooter.
As a result of the investigation, the following subjects were arrested:
Andres Aguilar: Possession of Narcotic Drugs, Weapons Misconduct (x3), Aggravated Assault with a Weapon (x3), Dispatching a Firearm, and Disorderly Conduct with a Weapon
AJ Schoenhardt: Possession of Narcotic Drugs, Weapons Misconduct, and Hindering Prosecution
During their initial appearances, Aguilar was held on a total of $60,000 bond and Schoenhardt was held on a $35,000 bond. They were both transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
