Woman Arrested for Murder

On July 26, 2016, at approximately 2:18 a.m., Lake Havasu City Police Officers responded to a residence in the 1400 block of McCulloch Boulevard in reference to a possible shooting call. A female called 9-1-1 and reported that she may have shot her boyfriend.

Upon arrival to the location, police officers contacted the female and she exited the residence without incident. Police officers located Kenneth Nissen (65) in the residence, and he was deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Unit responded to the scene and took over the investigation.

As a result of the investigation, detectives arrested Cheryl Molitor (61) for murder. Molitor was booked into the Lake Havasu City Police Jail awaiting a preliminary hearing.
